Happy Birthday "Mother Teresa"

http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z96/whengzky/FR%20Joy%20pix/641c.jpg

"Mother Teresa
, whose original name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, was born on August 26, 1910 in what is now Skopje, Macedonia. She always wrote her birthday as the 27th of August because that was the day of her baptism, which was always more important to her than her birth. For her work with the poor around the world she received the 1979 Peace Prize."

Her quotes, books has been inspiring me and will always. some of my favorite quotes of Mother Teresa.

"Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies."

"Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person."

"Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own."

"Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."

"Good works are links that form a chain of love."

"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."

"If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it."

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."

"There must be a reason why some people can afford to live well. They must have worked for it. I only feel angry when I see waste. When I see people throwing away things that we could use."

"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."

"We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty."

"I think I'm more difficult than critical."

"I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness."

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless"

"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go."

"Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for
greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children
have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for
each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world."

"Peace begins with a smile. "

"We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do. "

"Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according
to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to
do the humble work. "

"It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to
love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve
hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved
in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our
love for each other must start."

Do It Anyway

Do It Anyway
Sign In Mother Teresa's Office

People are unreasonable,
illogical, and self-centered,VE THEM ANYWAY

If you do good, people will
accuse you of selfish,
ulterior motives,

DO GOOD ANYWAY

If you are successful, you win
false friends and true enemies,

SUCCEED ANYWAY

The good you do will
be forgotten tomorrow,

DO GOOD ANYWAY

Honesty and frankness
make you vulnerable,

BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY

What you spent years building
may be destroyed overnight,

BUILD ANYWAY

People really need help but
may attack you if you help them,

HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY

Give the world the best you
have and you'll get kicked
in the teeth,

GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU'VE GOT ANYWAY.

From a sign on the wall
of Shishu Bhavan,
the Children's home in Calcutta

Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or sovereign. ... You must weep that your own government, at present, seems blind to this truth."
